Problems with auto-Organize

Post by GuHu » Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:35 pm

Hello Everybody,

i like to organize my files in a structure like this:

<album artist:1>\<Album artist>\<Album:1>\<Album>\<Track#> <Artist> - <Title>

(The parts with :1> are use in order to avoid too much occupied folders).

This works quite well, but I have problems especially with classical CDs with long named albums and titles.
The mask produces paths and file names which are too long.

Thus, I restrict the album and file name, e.g. <album:20>

This has the disadvantage, that if the name is shorter than 20 letters, the rest will be filled up with blanks.

Thus, e.g. "X&Y" will lead to "X&Y ", which is not the way I like it ...

I look in the manual and fiddle around with $if(Len(<Album>)>20,<Album:20>,<Album>), but this doesn't work .. :(

Maybe somebody has the right function ...

With regards, GuHu
