Album Art Issue

Post by elziko » Tue Nov 25, 2008 10:18 am

Each of my albums is stored in a folder. In that folder there is a folder.jpg as the cover art. However, some of my MP3s also have an empty 'Image 1' tag and filled 'Image 2' tag.

For these files MM doesn't display the album art but just a place holder icon. So I assume MM looks for tags first rather than folder.jpg? In my case it finds an empty Image 1 tag and displays no art. Is this expected behaviour?

Is there any way to get MM to always check for a folder.jpg file first and always use that regardless of what tags exist in the files and what they contain?

I know I could go though every file and correct any empty Image 1 tags or tell MM to use the Image 2 tag but I only use MM occasionally for playlist creation - I mostly use SqueezeCenter as my music library which copes with my music collection perfectly as it is.

I already have "Scan track directories for Album Art" checked.

As I said, it looks like MM is using my tags for art and ignoring the images stored in the directories unless there are no image tags.
