MM stopped scrobbling - how to locate problem?

My MM 3.0.2 hasn't sproggled to lastfm since Wednesday. How do I locate the problem??

I'm pretty sure I have it configured using the winamp plug-in - well it says it submitted the most recently played tracks... but logfile shows errors...

I have been on the road prior to Wednesday - and able to submit tracks from anywhere; but now I'm back home it appears I may be blocked somewhere in the chain.

How do I track down the weak link??

Thx

EDITED By Peke: Corrected Title typo error ;)

Thats the topic that got me scrobbling in the first place - using option 2. I just wanna scrob again without uninstalling-reinstalling .... starting over.

What do the errors say?

For example:

New song detected - Issa Bagayogo - Timbuktu (Timbuktu)
380.156 03/18/2009 09:21:05 CScrobbler::GetURL ERROR - ReqID 3, HttpSendRequest - The server name or address could not be resolved (12007) -
380.203 03/18/2009 09:21:05 CScrobbler::ThreadCallback ReqID 3, Submission is '', Response is , Status Code 0
380.218 03/18/2009 09:21:05 CScrobbler::ParseReponse ERROR - Response was invalid
380.250 03/18/2009 09:21:05 CScrobbler::ThreadCallback ERROR - ReqID 3, Last response from the server was unreadable ()

Appreciate the help.

When I used to use that plugin sometimes it would randomly forget my username and/or password - check that the information is still there. If that doesn't work I'd just suggest redownloading the plugin and reinstalling it + entering your info in again.

Thanks nohitter, but no cigar.

What do you use now instead? I thought option 2 was your preferred choice.

Will try re-installing the plug in when i get a spare 20mins.

He's probably using the last.fm plugin from Peke with MediaMonkey 3.1 both available in the Beta forum (the plugin requires MediaMonkey 3.1).

Indeed I am, listed as option 3 at http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 72#p148972

It works great, BTW. Many thanks to Peke :)

Note that it won't work with the standard MM for now, only with the 3.1 beta release which is available for download in the beta testing section of the forum...

NOTE: Option 3 is only one that Scrobble Unicode Tracks Correctly. Additionally it does not need Last.fm Util/player to be installed (And if it is installed suggested action is to disable Scrobbling of tracks played in last.fm player).

Installed the Beta and plug-in, set up etc. Still no Joy:

3/20/2009 11:09:47 AM: Last.FM: Handshake No Connection To Last.FM Handshake failed

Server problem somewhere??

Its working fine for me -- make sure you have the most recent builds of the beta versions installed, should be build 1227 of MM and 1.0.2.12 for the scrobbler.

Edit: You can also always check last.fm status at http://status.last.fm/

Have you deleted old Winamp Plugin as you can't have two plugins?
