There was a problem with the database

Post by tableguy » Tue Apr 07, 2009 7:28 pm

Trying to get MM to work in Shared Network.

After deleting the Scripts folder and re-installing MM, it starts building
a database in the ..\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey folder.

When I move the DB to a NAS and point to it with
the MM.ini (\\NAS\MM\MM.DB it complains with a
problem with the database.

How do I fix this? .. please

Are you sure you have write access to this location? Does the problem still occur when you navigate to the folder with the DB on the NAS with Windows Explorer before starting MediaMonkey?

Yes all users have premissions. And yes I have opened the NAS folder before running MM.
This is on a Myoda Desktop with 2 Quad @ 2.83, 8GBs Ram Vista Ultimate 32Bit, Hard Drive Partitioned 250gig with 185gig remaining (C) drive

On a Lenovo Laptop 2 Duo @ 1.20 4GBs Ram Vista Ultimate 32Bit, Solid State 60gig Hard Drive (C) 10gig remaining
Different scenario MM recreates the .ini and .Db in the C:\Users\Robert Sexton\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey directory
like a new install with a new .ini and a empty .DB
