How do I create an Autoplaylist of newest podcasts?

Postby CuriousMonkey » Sat Jan 02, 2010 6:41 pm

I'm trying to create an Autoplaylist of all newest podcasts from my subscriptions. This can be done in iTunes by creating a smart playlist with one track from each podcast. The one track chosen by iTunes is always the newest track so you end up with a playlist of all of the newest podcasts. However, when trying this in Mediamonkey, the oldest track is always chosen instead of the newest. It is possible in Mediamonkey to only keep podcasts for 1 day but that doesn't work well for weekly podcasts and I'd like to keep several podcasts from each subscription.

What is the best way to do this in Mediamonkey?

Thanks.

I just noticed that only choosing one track applies to the entire playlist not each individual criteria in the playlist. So forget how to do it in iTunes, how should it be done in Mediamonkey?

You could do:

Status: Is Podcast
Played #: =0
MediaMonkey user since 2006

That would only work if I had listened to the previous podcast. It also would only work if I had listened to it on my computer and not my device. (Not all devices support the played tag).

I'm also keen for this feature. I listen to a ton of podcasts and ordering them by playlists is super useful.
