Hey guys.
I've been trying to think of a way to build a playlist (or autoplaylist) which consists of playing each one of my artists once, before moving onto another artist. The only way I figured I could achieve this is by telling an autoplaylist to skip any artist whose playcount > 0. But there's no field for "total artist plays".
I was wondering if there's any way of doing this? And if not, are there any addons or scripts that could help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Play each artist once?
try making a playlist with the options to only play one song from one artist. and have it pick songs that have not been played for more then 3 or more days, then turn off the suffle in monkey's player
when the playlist starts it should keep going down the list and play the songs in order.
not sure if you can tell a list to play only one song from each artist but that is the only way i can think of to do
what you want.?

I can't think of any easy way to do this, even with add-ons. You could look at MegaDJ: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... lit=megadjPaT2090 wrote:Hey guys.

but I've never used it and I'm not sure if it allows for something like that or not. Perhaps if you pose the question in the above thread the add-on author can clarify for you.

Magic Nodes add-on has several predefined masks in the Random folder which could be customized for some specific needs, for example:
- One random Track from each Artist;
- One random Track with 4 or more stars from each Artist;
- One random Track from each Artist who has at least 5 tracks;
- One random Track from each Artist with 3 or more stars avg. rating;
- One random Track with 4 or more stars from each Artist who has at least 5 tracks;
- One random Track played less than 10 times from each Artist who has at least 5 tracks;
- One random Track with 4 or more stars from each Artist with 3 or more stars avg. rating;
- 5 Random Tracks from each Artist;
- 5 Random Tracks rated 4 stars or more from each Artist;
- 3 Random complete Albums from each Album Artist from each Genre;
- 4 Random Tracks from 3 random complete Albums from each Album Artist.
Whenever you click on some of those nodes you would get the new, random set of tracks. Possibilities with it are countless.
