I have a list of over 4000 duplicate titles

Now what do I do with it? Do I go through it manualy? Or is there a automatic way of doing it?

go in to the help with addon's forum room here and look in the all scripts thread.
there are several scripts that should help but i think there is one by trixmoto that will work to fix your situation in an automated way.
