How to tell which database/INI I've got open?

Post by MarineBrat »

I have multiple machines from which I run MM, and when I'm working on one or another I like to copy the database locally for the speed advantage, otherwise I let the database sit on the network and share it among the different machines. My trouble is that I know of no easy way to tell which database I'm currently using (local or network) without opening the INI file and seeing where it points. And even in that case, it's not always easily apparent which INI file MM is using without checking the various locations in which it may reside.

It would be very useful to me if there was a quick and easy way to see the path to the current MEDIAMONKEY.INI file and the MM.DB file. Might there be a script that displays that info?

My suggestion would be to put it under Help/About. There could be a button that displays the contents of different variables, and makes it easy to copy them to the clipboard.
