shift + key problem when usin mm in background

Postby ineptoria » Wed May 23, 2012 6:34 am

Hi I got some really annoying problems after installing this otherwise awesome software. Every time I press a shift + key combination mm4 ether stops, pauses or plays a track. This happens no mater what window I'm using notepad, web browser, etc. When I now typing this post I'm forced to use caps-lock to get capitalized letters.

I'm not saying this is all media monkeys fault, but i have sadistically good view on my system and this NEWER happened before.

My keyboard: logitech G15 keyboard
My system : win7 64
MediaMonkey 4.0.2.1462

The first thing I tried was to remove all hot-keys with no luck. Second thing reinstall keyboard driver. Now, the last thing would probably be stop listening to music altogether, DO NOT want to do that >:(

that said. really like this software and would hate for it not to work.

As you already removed the hotkeys (which would be the likely source for this) you may want to test another media player on your system and see if it also happens (indicating a system issue) if it doesn't then you may want to create a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69

Wheheheheel... Some misdirected anger there hu? Im sorry media monkey it was not your fault. In my frustration I disassemble my keyboard and tried pressing on the buttons under the keys and guess what, it works!
Now... How do i get all the peaces back together?.hmmm..

Any way it was no 3rd party keyboard software problem.
Glad to let it be a lesson learned for every member on this forum :p
