Auto-organize SQL error.

Postby Marhubeng » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:45 am

I did a clean intsall of MM on my new laptop. I had MM rebuild the library, and then restored the old statistics using 'Restore/Synchronize Database".
Everything seems to work fine except for one thing.
If I use 'rescan/add files to library' while the option 'auto-organize files (during scanning or modifying)' is selected on i get the following message with every file:

Error executing SQL "SELECT Songs.Id
FROM Songs AND Songs.ID=?
*:near "AND": syntax error (1,1)"

MM does organise the files according my criteria, but the next time i scan the same files, i get the same message.
Rescanning works fine with the auto-organise option de-selected.
Also the 'auto-organize file' from the right mouse button menu works fine.
Could it be something in my settings (auto-organize?) or might this be a bug?

I'm using a Dutch language version of MM, so please excuse me if I've not translated all terms correctly.

Have you tried to run File > Maintain Library with complete optimization? Restore/Synchronize Database may have introduced some incorrect data tripping up Auto-Organize, Maintain Library may be able to fix it.

Thanks for your advice.
Unfortunately it didn't help. However I've found a solution/work around.
One of the criteria I've made for auto-organizing is all the files that are in an auto-playlist. That appears to have created the problem.
I've now made a collection that consists of all the files in that same auto-playlist, and changed the auto-organize criteria from files in the playlist to files in the collection. So far that works fine.

Perhaps there is an issue with the Auto-Playlist criteria?

Still, you should capture this failure in a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69 They may also like to receive your database.
