Can't Rip a CD

Postby Lady Fitzgerald » Fri Jul 27, 2012 11:16 pm

I've been trying to rip a CD with Media Monkey Gold (version 4.0.6.1501) and every time I tried, using various settings, I would get various error messages and Media Monkey would lock up and I would have the divil's own time trying to close the program. The manual makes it look simple but, apparently, it isn't because I can't get it to work! Any suggestions?

What do the error messages say?

Found the problem. The CD/DVD drive in my new notebook is slow and the CD I was trying to rip is an old indie that had a label on it making it too thick to work well in the drive. I was able to rip a different CD using an external CD/DVD drive without any problems but even that drive was choking on the first CD I was trying to rip. I'll have try again later on a different machine with a more forgiving drive.
