"Scan Media" list doesn't include "My Music" folder

I just downloaded the free version of MM and am going through the install wizard. But in the "Scan Media" phase, the folder where I keep the music that I want to transfer to MM doesn't show up. I have Windows 7 professional, and my primary music folder shows up in Explorer under "Libraries" and "Music" and then "My Music." It also shows up as C://Users/Jim/My Music. I don't want MM to scan in all music on my computer because I have other folders where I keep garbage, orphan music and doubles. Why doesn't my "My Music" folder show up in the Scan Media list, and since it doesn't how can I help MM get to it?

You can type/paste any folder location to be scanned in the bottom of the Add/Rescan Files window and then use the Add button.

Thanks. I just tried to do that. I typed in c://users/jim/mymusic and clicked "Add." But then it shows up on the list with the little network symbol instead of a file folder. Shouldn't it show up as a folder?

I added "C://users/jim/my music to the Scan Media list, and no files were identified, even though I have a ton of music there.

MM won't let me drill down into my music subfolder, so I let it upload from the "music" master folder and it worked that way without a hitch. Problem solved.

Yes, I forgot to add that I did type in C:\users\jim\my music, but that failed.
