Currupt Tags Detection

Post by Jzzen »

I am new to MediaMonkey.

I have moved over 30,000 mp3 files from one harddrive to another but some have developed currupt tags.
How do I use MediaMonkey to detect currupt tags and then fix them.

I really don't get how MediaMonkey works so please give me a dummy's description. lol

What do you mean by "corrupt" tags?

Well, I think some info have changed in tag details which when i use my pcdj software, the program crashes at the point when it has to modify and save tag details of various files.

This did'nt happen on original hardrive using the same said pcdj software. Software versions are the same.
Files have been copied from original hardrive and put in same folders as original.
Program only crashes when certain mp3's are played and tag edited - the program saves info like cue points mainly.

pcdj on original drive plays the files and saves with no problems at all.

I am not sure how tag is currupt.

Try this. It'll work on MM4. Just do this to every track, not just the unsynchronized ones.

Happens a lot with Dj software and DAWS.
