Editing 'genre' in 'All'

Post by nickdunc »

I am loading a lot of CD's onto a streaming device.
At present I have about 10,000 tracks.
I'm looking to edit the genres in order to make searching more convenient.
I would like to use sorting in the 'all' view.
I have tried to order the list by say current genre, but each time I edit a series of tracks it goes through an elaborate update of the list and prevents me from going to the top - thereby making it pretty much impossible to do this.
Is there a trick I am missing?
Many thanks,
Nick

If you're editing Genre's themselves use the Genre node, right click on a Genre and Rename.

Are you editing in the My Computer node or another node in MediaMonkey and are you on MediaMonkey 4.1.6?

What do you mean ordering by "current" genre?
How many tracks at a time, on average, are you trying to edit.
