Initial Set-up of File Location

Post by Cork »

I've just installed Media Monkey for the first time and am confused how to point it to a specific folder for the files I want it to use.

During initial setup I pointed it to my NAS drive, but it's scanning the entire drive and I'd like to to use a specific folder as the root of the tree; and by root I mean I'd want it to scan/use all folders under the single folder.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Does your path look something like this:
\\<NAS UNC Drive Name>\\<music folder name>\<artist>\...<filename>
not
X:\<music folder name>\<artist>\...<filename>)

What you scan is set in File > Add/Rescan Files. However this doesn't remove any files scanned before.

That's for the replies guys. I did figure it out - I was trying to use/change/manipulate the pre-populated list of locations and was having no luck. It works out that if I type my location (\\nas\media\CDs) in the 'Add' space, it added that location to the list. As Lowlander indicated I had to remove the previously added files, so I had to remove them first. (MMFrLite, I'm not at that computer, so I can't provide the path information, but I think I'm good.) Thanks again.
