Using a playlist's name as Autoplaylist criteria?

Post by MMFrLife » Sun Jan 17, 2016 7:00 pm

Can you use a playlist's name as criteria for an autoplaylist?
I have a series of sad song playlists (sad songs 1, sad songs 2, etc.) and
want to create an autoplaylist that will serve as a master to all the sad song playlists.

Is there a way to just use the name of the playlist or a term(s) in the name?
Otherwise, it seems you have to use playlist > and always go in to check all appropriate playlist checkboxes in the criteria dropdown menu
or always write to a custom field equals or contains sad songs (which both defeat the purpose of being auto).

If not, move this to Wishlist.

I use the advanced playlists and name them as the artist's name, then I use pekes windows scheduler script to start the playlists by using the name of the playlists.
not sure if that can be done any other way. :-?

No, you can only select specific Playlists.

Again, move this to the wishlist. Don't make me have to say, "Pretty Please" or "With a Cherry on Top".

Anyway, I appreciate the replies.

Can you give me a step by step example of how to accomplish this?
