Hi,
I have all my music stored in a LinkStation NAS, It's currently drive L on my computer, MediaMonkey doesn't see it. What am I doing wrong??
I've been using windows media player on windows xp and I want to switch all to MediaMonkey.

What do I do????HELP!!!

Does Drive L: show under the My Computer node in MM tree?

Does Drive L: show in the add/rescan dialogue box?

If not. How many assigned drives do you have, and how many of those does MM see under the My Computer node in the Tree?

I would have thought that MM would detect the Drive if it's correctly mapped within Windows.

Or are you saying that you cannot get the tracks to scan into the Library and/or play?

This is how my drives are assigned:
A: floppy C: local disk D: local disk E:memory stick F: DVD-RW

G: CD drive L: share on "MUSICSTATION"

"MUSICSTATION" is the name given to the LinkStation NAS

Drive L: does not show anywhere in MM, MM sees all except L:.

Any way I can get MM to "see" L: ?

Have you also checked under the Network node in MM?

Is this Linkstation the one that has a Linux pre-install?

I don't know how but it's working MM sees my LinkStation--under network node the LinkStation came up as another name, when I figured this out all else fell into place!! Again thanks for you time !!

Very pleased that your up and running.

MM views Drives by volume ID rather than Drive Letter, which is the most efficient way to do it, as I see it, at the moment. Discussed here:

Probably accounts for the confusion! Out of interest, what did MM call the drive?

I wasn't too familiar with the Linkstation until you posted. Very interesting. I'll be investing some money over the next 6 - 12 months in new equipment, and this one's now on the radar to shortlist.

Hi guys,

MM saw my LinkStation as ZoSTRING, when I disabled my symantec firewall it automatically changed to L: share, and all worked perfectly.

Sorry for the delay in posting!!!

P.S. I converted all my music from WMA Lossless to WAV, MM worked flawlessly. I highly recommend the LINKSTATION, I have a new one that holds 400GB and I only used 99GB (2151 files) I'll be plugging into a SONOS music system.
