MMW track# and disc# fields that include "/"

Postby alemao » Fri Dec 22, 2017 11:22 am

Hi all,
This may have been discussed before but I searched around and could not find help on the exact issue.

When importing an album into MMW the track# and disc# fields do not show correctly if they previously included the "/" character in them.
For example track# "01/02" shows in MMW as 01. The same for disc#. It seems to disregard anything after the "/" character.
Of course, I can edit it in MMW to include the "/" character and then it stays on, but when importing new music you can never know what is really into these two fields unless you check with another program such as tag&rename or traktor.

I've tried a couple of tests with other characters such as "-" or "#" and it reads the entire field just fine.

Is it something I am doing wrong? I can provide print-screens of examples if you'd like.

MMW by design do not support Track and Disk # using format "1 of 10" ("01/10") and thus the results you see. Manually adding "/" stick as then a field in not seen/read as Numeric but as Text(String).
