Move from PC to NAS

Post by gkime » Wed Apr 18, 2018 8:58 am

My library is on a local HD

I would like to move it to a USB Hard Drive attached to my Netgear router.

1) Any concerns about netgear NAS I should know about?

2) How can I move so my playlists still function including my m3u playlists i wan to share with Roon & Bluos?

Thanks,

Glenn

Use MediaMonkey to move your media files (like Tools > Auto-Organize Files: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... enames/4.0) and your MediaMonkey Library and the Playlists in it will stay up-to-date with the new Location. The recommendation is to use the UNC Path (eg. \\Netgear\drive\music\ instead of a Mapped Drive).

If you run into any problems. This script below solved it for me. Invaluable tool.
