counting the music peaces

Good afternoon.

I would like to know the number of song I have from every band.
I would like to know the number of songs performed by the beatles or the Beach Boys.

Can MM provide me this information?

The Statusbar shows totals for any View you're in. So if you're viewing an Artist it would show the total files for that Artist.

Otherwise this could be scripted, I'm not sure if any script exists though. You may want to check out:

You can use Custom Report 3.2 by trixmoto. It will output the libary into excel. In excel you can use some formula to output the counts per artist.
