When adding/rescanning files from a particular folder to the Library folder some files don't move over.
Example:
folder of Library = C:\Library\
folder of new songs to add to Library = C:\New Songs\
All files usually shift over into the C:\Library\. However there are around 100 files that do not move, and remain in C:\New Songs\. They still get added to the MM database. Just not in the location I'd prefer, C:\Library\.
I'm wondering what's the deal with those 100 files. Is the name too long? Are certain tags too long?
Any help appreciated.

Check your Auto-Organize settings (Tools > Options > Auto-Organize). Those files may not match the Criteria (like Type).

Re: Add/Rescan files to the Library -- Some files don't move
Some of the ill-mannered files are .mp3, and some are .flac. Both included in options, file-types.
My hunch is that the file names and/or tags are too long. MM apparently has an issue with long file names and/or tags.
Hate hacking off the ends of file names and/or tags. But maybe that's the only solution.
By the way, I changed Windows 10 registry settings to allow for longer file names. I believe there is then no limit to path/filename length. However, programs have to support that, too, is my hunch. And MM apparently doesn't support extra long path/filenames, even though Windows 10 does.

That's not what I meant. Add/Rescan Files doesn't move files. Auto-Organize does. Type refers to Music, Audiobook, Podcast, etc.
