Played MKV files fine at first, now "is unable to decode"

Post by IJustWannaWatchAnime » Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:51 pm

I recently downloaded MediaMonkey and at first I was able to play mkv files without a problem, however now when I try to watch the same videos it gives me the message "MediaMonkey is unable to play this format". Selecting "find the missing codec" seems to do nothing. I installed the K Lite Codec Pack and it will play the videos with it installed, but the videos play very choppy. I have uninstalled and reinstalled MM plenty of times with the same results.
Is there any way to fix this?

Hi,
Can you please open support ticket so that we can go into more details. I am suspecting that your Hardware decoding got disabled and that GPU driver uses Software decoder fro video which makes playback choppy.

Try using latest version from http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 54426&sd=d
