Seasick Steve - one for blues fans

Post by alanl » Sat Jan 20, 2007 6:42 pm

I recently heard, and soon after bought, Dog House Music by Seasick Steve. Although this guy is American he seems to be more popular in Europe than the US. He's just an old ex-hobo who records stuff in his kitchen, but maybe because of this he has the feel of a modern Robert Johnson (for me anyway), but with a lot more humour. Anyone else already fans of Seasick?

I had never heard of him before. I am quite impressed. If you didn't notice on his site there are 3 free downloads which are now safely residing in my MM. :D

I think I'm going to pick up the CD too.

Jim
