Although that's a nice beginners list, I want you to expand it to much more.

Begin with the norwegian composer Edward Grieg, and continue with romantic composers. Wagner is great and big, so is Rachmaninov. He has some great Piano Pieces. There is so much classic music, and you'll have to expand it beyond Mozart, Beethoven and Bach. Although they are the biggest (in therms of popularity), I don't think they're the best.
Best regards,
Morten

Sibelius, Copland, Kreisler, Satie, Verdi, Mascagni and O so many more delightful treats.

Among my favourites are Barber, Gorecki, Rodrigo, Smetana ... and the list goes on. Classical composers don't, by definition, have to have died two hundred years ago :)
