mines growing but when i put in all the songs myself i only get about 4 or 7 hundred in a year,

might beable to get more but i always run them through the wav editor and fix them for better sound so that takes time.

but i get them to sound good that way.

My collection is all lossless, FLAC & SHN formats... thousands and thousands of files. I have over 2.5 TERABYTES of storage, 13 hard drives across three boxes... one could say I am addicted to live music.

MediaMonkey is truly a fantastic program, after using it for a few days, so far I have only one complaint/gripe, and that is the tagging for FLAC files doesn't work. The tags save properly in MM, just not to the file itself. Hopefully this will be addressed some time in the future.

Tagging to Flac

Post by rusty »

Just a note re. Flac. Once we do add support for Flac tagging, it'll be a simple matter of Synchronizing your Tags to the DB and all your Flac files will be properly tagged.

In the meantime, backup that DB file regularly :)

Mediamonkey is the only app that's been able to scale for my collection. So the browsing of all the artists and playlists has remained snappy despite the volume of data.

On the other side of things, I've never seen such a good tagger / info editor as the one integrated into mediamonkey. Really handy for editing lots of files at once since the data found in freedb can be inconsistent with itself.

Sheesh.

That sounds silly. Maybe i'm just jealous cuz I 'only' have 150GB and 28K tracks.
