I need major help with my iPod!

Hi everyone, I just started using MediaMonkey. Not sure what I may have done wrong, but when I hooked up my iPod to it, it recognized all my music with no problem, but now when I disconnect the iPod from my computer, the iPod is empty. If I reconnect the iPod to MediaMonkey, it displays all my music again--but it won't stand alone. Does anyone know what has happened and what I should do about this?

We need more details, what kind of iPod is it, for example.

It's a click wheel, 40 GB, the kind without video.
