Can one sync into folder with name of playlist?

Post by gaboonga »

Hi,

When syncing with an mp3 players, either manually or automatically, is it possible to somehow specify in the default "Synchronize tracks to" setting that the immediately superior folder use the name of the autoplaylist? I know that for autoplaylists, you can specify a path for each one, but I'm looking for a way to specify this in the default option for manually synchronized playlists without altering the path for each one. I don't like my playlist contents to be sorted by genre, album, etc., and I don't want all my autoplaylists to be autosynced all the time, which is the only way I can see to currently specify the destination folder's name by manually typing in the autoplaylist's name.

Thanks.

UPDATE- I'm not sure when this happened or if the community was just waiting for us morons to figure it out, but using the <playlist> tag in the sync options for device filepath/organization does exactly what we two were asking for.

I'm not sure if this is an RTFM issue, as I've never encountered a user's guide for the Monkey. For most things I've not needed one...

Synchronize Playlist

Post by Globi »

Hello

this does not work for me, if I use <playlist> than I find on my portable only the *.m3u files instead of all the mp3 files in a folder named after my playlists ?

<playlist>\<Interpret> - <Titel>

What do I have to change?

Thanks

My player is an iAudio M5 and I use the default d_USBMass1.dll driver.

Where are you designating the path for your playlists?

Sorry I can't be more help...

if you are using the german ui

you have to use the tag name "playliste" instead of "playlist"
