Synch problem

Not sure if it's realated to OS 4.2.1 or to MM 3.2.4 but after upgrading both the library update time grown up by a lot. The synch time is about the same but after I start player on ipod it shows upding library screen. Before it was taking maybe 1 minute, now it's close to 20 minutes.

I never before synchronized my iPod Touch (2nd gen) with MM. I tried yesterday and today. There is no indication in the MM user interface that it is synchronizing (is this normal?), but my iPod keeps on saying "synchronizing". After stopping MM I can not play any music anymore. When selecting an album the music player of my iPod crashes.
