Exclude Folders ignored

I have setup syncing and want to "delete tracks that aren't on the auto-sync list from the device", but I want to ignore several folders with system mp3. I have created a list, but they are still flagged for deletion.

I would also like to make the comment that it would be nice to have the option to select only which folders should be deleted rather than those that should not.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you separated each folder with commas?

I have and HTC incredible and I am having the same issue. I used the following syntax:
"(i:\andriod,i:\movies")
"i:\andriod", " i:\movies"
i:\andriod,i:\movies

And none of them worked. Can anyone help?

I think your problem is listing the drive letter, that should be excluded as MM already knows the drive letter. Just start from the root eg.

The protip text uses drive letters here. It can be a source of confusion and frustration if you don't know what is discussed here. Fixing that would help

Wow! I agree. I just spent one hour trying to figure this out because I was inputting it exactly as the tooltip recommended.

This is what the tooltip recommends:

And here is what ended up working for me:

Devs, it would be great to have this tooltip edited for clarification.

None of these variations worked. Any suggestions?
