Several problems for music sync in Android (2.3)

Postby STDupont » Tue Apr 17, 2012 7:40 pm

HI everyone.
I got a Sony Xperia S, and i always used MM for sync music on my devices.
But now, i got problems that i never met before.
When i want to sync FLAC files, i convert them to MP3. In my library, my files are correct, with good tags, good artist, good song names.
But when i browse them in the music player of my handset, i got some problems, like artist names are in uppercase, my albums got split in two...
Exemple : i ripped a CD in FLAC, and at the beginning, the artist name was in uppercase, so i changed the name with the function in MM, and now it's good. (It was OVERKILL, i changed it to Overkill). But when it's synced, it's still OVERKILL in my handset.
Tried to change tags manually, no effect.
The second problem is every time a sync a specific album (i tried with Winamp and MM), ONE track got split from the album, and finish alone in a one track album. Tried to change the tags too, no effect. The name of the albums are strictly the same, but Android decide they're not the same album.

I hope someone can help me !

Thanks

Check the Files to Edit > Unsynchronized Tags node, select all files and use Tools > Advanced Tag Management > Synchronize Tags. Refresh the view, no files should be listed.

I tried your solution, but it looks like there's another problem, what MM displays is false... i converted my FLAC files to MP3, they are in my xperia, in MP3, but MM displays them as FLAC.

All is perfect, but it's still split in my handset.
And my Overkill album is displayed as "Overkill" but it's still OVERKILL in my music player...

Problem with my original files, my handset or MM ?
