Playlist syncing

Postby ohneland » Mon Aug 06, 2012 4:06 am

I was trying to sync some playlists to my CZ.
On trying to play these lists, they were displayed as empty, most likely because MM has specified the files' locations as N:\Music\...,
"N:" being the hard drive letter the device accidentally had on my computer, "Music" being the folder all music on my CZ goes to.
I had manually replaced "N:\" by "..\" in notepad so now they work.
But this is not the way syncing music should work in 2012???

In the Device Profile you can change how Playlists are synced to the device. There is an option to use Relative Paths.

Hi,
cool, that was just what I was looking for.
One more question also pertaining to syncing:
Some devices show up two times, e.g. the SD-Card shows up both as SD-Card and as O:\, my smartphone both as Android Device and LG 500 and my Mp3-Player both as N:\ and as Sansa Clip Zip.
Is this the waz it is supposed to be?

Tools > Options > Portable/Audio Devices allows you to see if a different plug-in is the cause and also allows you to disable the versions you don't want to see in the Media Tree. My Sansa Clip + only shows as such for me (maybe you have been using your DB for a long time and collected these additional entries over time).
