Samsung Galaxy S3 flac syncronisation

Hi,
i have a big problem (for me ^^) with my Galaxy S3. The S3 supports .flac/lossless audio. When I copy the files manually to my SDCard or Phone my device musicplayer can play them without problems and it sounds really great. But with MediaMonkey as well with as any other program I tried, it won't sync my files. Every time I got the msg "File G:\Music........flac is not supported by the device", BUT IT IS!

I have changed the Device settings in "Auto conversion" for Supported formats on device. I put .flac as fileformat with every audioformat, sample rate, channel etc possible in there. But it won't work.
Any one an idea?

i know i can copy the files by myself, but i want playlists on my pc and on my galaxy s3. And syncing is the word ;)

thank for any help and suggestions!

greetings
Mario

If any other program has the same issue the problem would seem with the phone. You may want to search online if any solutions are known to enable FLAC syncing to the device.

You can also capture a debug log (step 4b and 4d iii) of the sync and hope it shows why and send it to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69

with MusicBee i can copy playlists with Lossless music to my device, but its no correct sync, it just copies the music to it, so i often have some tracks twice.

it would be really great if it could sync with media monkey, but it doesn't work :(

no help yet?

greetings

Anyone has the problem after adding FLAC to the list of supported formats? It works fine for me on S3.

MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1505 beta should fix this issue: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 07#p348807 Can you confirm that it does?

Hi,
since there doesn't seem to be anyone answering, I shall oblige: 1505 does not fix the problem for me and neither does the RC build 1506.
Hope it will be fixed soon, or there is a workaround I can use as a non-gold user.

Same problem here. I tried upgrading to 1506, but that didn't do it. I'm on a Motorola Atrix 2.

Edit: sorry, correction. I hadn't yet added FLAC as a supported format. The tracks are transferring now. I think I just need to sync as a generic USB device to get all the playlists and everything straightened out. Will report if there are any more problems.

You should upgrade to MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1508: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 15#p350715

Then make sure that in the Device Profile you set FLAC as support File Format and you may also need to set M3U as supported format. If you have any problems (either syncing FLAC or Playlists) it is recommended to create a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support so the developers can check what is happening with your device: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=12&t=69

Yeah, I figured out after the fact what I needed to do. :) Thanks! Now I'm just waiting for the transfer to finish to confirm that everything is as it should be.

Once I got my phone running with flac support AND added flac to the accepted types in Media Monkey, everything went pretty smoothly. Having a little trouble with duplicate playlists showing up after I've unsynced and resynced things, but I think that's more a problem on the phone end than MM's end.

On a slightly different subject, is there any way to configure MM to sync playlists for different collections to different folders? I'm using MortPlayer on my phone, which I am madly in love with because it keeps music and audiobooks totally separate, with only the appropriate management options for each (it's actually two players integrated through a common widget). It's easy enough to tell MM to send the audiobooks to one folder and music to another, and configure the players to match, but if all the playlists are in one place, each player sees both the music and audiobook playlists.
