SD card not shows in media tree

Post by kjegou »

my SD card is recognised by windows (get a windows on insertion, etc..) but it does not appear in the media tree, therefore can't sync. any idea what triggets a device to showup in the MMW media tree ?

The only other option is to put the SD card in the phone and connect the phone to MMW. This works ok, but i think the sync speed might be better by connecting directly the SD card in the PC slot where MMW is installed. At least it is worth checking..

Maybe it's disabled under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync.

no - all devices are checked - there must be something inside MMW as windows recognises ok.

Then you can use d_USBMass1.dll to set it up for syncing.

If you want to know why it isn't recognized as portable device you can capture the connecting of the card to the PC in a debug log (step 4b) and send the log to support for developer analysis: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=12&t=69

Thanks, this was the right thing to do: Select the USB device (d_USBMass1.dll) in the device list and configure it.

As per the speed of the sync through the SD in PC slot compared to the USB link to the telephone, there is no clear better option, both are quite the same.
