I'm in the process of syncing my MM (ver 4.1.9) library to my iPod Touch 5G (iOS 7) and it is running very slowly. I had cleaned out the iPod's music, so there are over 1600 MP3 files to copy. It has been running for over 12 hours now and has only moved about half of the files. My question is this...
Is there a way to safely stop the syncing process so I can disconnect the iPod, then continue the syncing later tonight?
A few days ago I was trying the sync and needed to take the iPod with me, so I had to just shut down MM. This ended up using a big chunk of "other" data (not Music) on the iPod which I managed to get rid of using the iExplorer program (www.macroplant.com) and deleting the file with "mediamonkey" in the name (sorry, I forget the details). I don't want this to happen again!

Right click on the sync progress bar and cancel it.

Re: How to STOP the syncing process?
Wifi sync isn't available for iOS, but if you're wifi syncing with MMA you can stop the sync in MMA.

So how do I stop syncing process so it does NOT even START?
Re: How to STOP the syncing process?
Wifi sync would never start on its own. USB sync can be disabled in the Device Profile by disabling Auto-Sync as soon as the device is connected.
