Long time MM user and love the power user features.
I've run into a circumstance in syncing to a usb stick that I'm trying to create a work around due to limitations on a car radio I'm trying to play the stick on where I need to create additional sub folder structures on the USB stick.
I would like to have MM create sub folders based on the beginning letter of the artist name when syncing music to that stick.
In coding language terms here's what I would like to do.
IF ARTIST_NAME begins with letters A-F create sub folder "A-F" on USB stick and Sync song ARTIST_NAMES beginning with letters A-F to folder "A-F" that was created
IF ARTIST_NAME begins with letters G-K create sub folder "G-K" on USB stick and Sync song ARTIST_NAMES beginning with letters G-K to folder "G-K" that was created....etc.
With my moderate user level experience, it seems complicated but figured I'ld ask if something like this was even possible. I know if it is, that MM would be the only program on the planet that would allow me to achieve it.
I know I could manually create this type of folder structure within my library folder structure and have copy that structure over to the USB during sync but wouldn't work well for all the other devices that I sync with my libray and would also cause me additional headaches when ysing MM for tag manipulation and organization.

<'Field'@n> is the solution so, \<Album Artist@6>\ should do the trick.

Now to go figure this out.

I think I may have found a solution that may work even better for my needs while I was trying to configure this in the sync file location options.
I always forget about the Custom Field Tagging options. I think I'm going to manually configure a couple of the Custom field tags and then I can have sub folders created based on those Custom tag fields.
thanks again!!!
