Newbie, adding duplicate files?

Hello, as a new comer to both iPods and MM, I accidentally select all 6188 MP3 music files *twice*.

So now MM is saying it is copying 12,376 files (instead of 6188).

Will this synchronization take longer and MM will actually put each file twice on my Ipod Touch?

If so, how would I clean a mess like that up?

Depends, how did you select them twice and how did you sync? You should be able to stop by terminating from right click on progress bar.
