How to get files from one Ipod to another

I am new to Media Monkey and cannot seem to figure out how to get the files off the old Ipod so I can put them on the new Ipod. I am not the most savy computer person and I thought Media Monkey would make it easy. If there is a manual or something that could walk me through it step by step that would be great. I spend money on the Gold and have spend over 4 hours and gotten no where. Help please
