I have many playlists living in my old ipod Classic. I don't want to lose these lists and songs, some of which are there from before I had mediamonkey, and are not in my mediamonkey library. My question: If I synch the ipod with mediamonkey, will I lose the songs and playlists that are on the ipod? If so, is there another way to add new music from mediamonkey to the ipod besides synching?
I'm a novice mediamonkey user and hope my question makes sense. Thanks in advance.

MediaMonkey will prompt to delete content. Review this and deselect what not to delete. As long as the option for deleting in the Device Profile is set to unselected library files it should not offer to remove content that already existed on the device.
