Can you import directly from iPod?

My iTunes library is a total mess. I downloaded some music to my iPhone and afterwards everything was messed up. Duplicate playlists, deleted playlists, deleted songs. The songs are gone from my hard drive, backup hard drive, and even my trash. Luckily, I had synced my iPod a month ago so everything is okay on that. I’m currently using an older Mac mini and need to replace it. I’m moving to Windows because I am totally disgusted with Apple. Anyway, to get to the point, can you transfer songs to Media Monkey directly from an ipod? If so, will it keep all my playlists, album art, etc? Thanks for any help you can give me.
