Limit sync to just those sings in certain playlists

I've successfully gotten MMW syncing to my Android phone over USB, it's happily converting all the big FLAC files into smaller MP3, it seems to be moving the playlists fine, but it's moving a lot of songs I don't want as well as the ones I do want moved.

I have a small set of playlists which between them pick up all the music I want on my phone, but I can't find any way to have MMW only move the songs in these playlists.

What have I missed?

You probably selected something else as all selections will be synced. Check the Device Profile (Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync) and make sure only those 2 Playlists and nothing else is selected.
