Writing to status bar

Writing to status bar

I can't seem to find anything in the API for displaying a message down in the status bar. Is it possible?

The Status Bar, no.
The only alternative I know is the Progress Bar: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/SDBProgress
