Does anyone have a working desktop widget / gadget for Win 7?

The only one I know right now is Now Playing, currently at version 4.05 by Lawrence James (http://gadgetdev.blogspot.com/).

It has a drawback, though: It likes to initialize MediaMonkey a bit brusquely, i.e. sometimes the app seems to be launching when Now Playing is querying its status.
