I'm having trouble installing Case&LeadingZeroFixer.1.4.2... getting install errors as described in beginning of this thread.

I am running MM as admin and still get errors

Just upgraded MM (3.2.4.1304) yesterday before trying install. Was using this script on XP previously, upgraded to win7 hp a couple months ago and now trying to get MM back to where it was. Still struggling with win 7 a bit.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, I am running as admin and tried everything in the support article. Also at beginning of this post.

Still no luck.

Any other way to install?

One thing, I used the Windows transfer utility to save & restore my MM folder with DB & INI files & whatever else is in there. Clean install of Win 7 and then restored with Transfer util and then clean installs of programs, MM etc. Could it be a left over setting somewhere? INI file?

Thanks again

Just to ad two cents.

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate. I had to right click media monkey and run as administrator even though I am the administrator logged on (go figure)

Anyway, this worked and I was able to install this fine script.

Thanks :D

As a FYI, Windows considers running an app as an administrator and being logged in as an administrator as two different things.

After trying your suggestions several times and even finding a bad stick or 2 of memory, still no luck on installation of this fine script.

Maybe something will turn up someday?

Thanks to all for the replies.

@tma,
You can try to to do a manual install by renaming the .mmip file to .zip and then extract CaseModify.vbs to your MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto folder. Restart MM.

@Dreadlau,
Thanks, Dreadlau! :)

I would be interested too. But for all fields of course. And also for leading spaces.

On a side note, I installed this script on MM4.
The installation worked without problem and the script is working too.

"RegExp find and replace" and "Personal Tag Enhancer" can do that.

I guess yes.
What made me like this suggestion is that your Case & Leading Zero Fixer script is something simple and immediate.
I mean you simply run it and you know you'll be pleased by the result.
Leading and ending spaces is something that have no purpose.
So I like the idea of a simple fix. ( suits the philosophy of your Case & Leading Zero Fixer script )

"RegExp find and replace" and "Personal Tag Enhancer" looks so complex!
Just looking at the screen-shot in the first page of the "RegExp find and replace" thread, I'm completely lost and scared. :/
I will try "Personal Tag Enhancer" as I see in the last page of the thread that RedX made it compatible with MM4.
