Try setting the log level higher and checking out the logfile, this might explain why no results are being suggested. The lists are processed slightly differently, but only if you had multiple lists for the same field.

Error happened during script execution: Unknown name

Thanks!
Is there something I should be trying to fix this error?

Thanks!

No idea, I've not seen this before and cannot replicate it. If you uninstall "Genre Finder" do you still get the error message?

If by uninstalling you mean deleting genre finder from the plugins folder & then reinstalling - yes - I did that first & the problem still exists.

Or, if by some other means, please let me know :)

Well actually I meant just uninstalling and then restarting MM and seeing if you get the message before you reinstall.

I've seen this too with the new version, verified on songs which were tagged fine by the previous version and songs with no tags.
This means that the current values for Genre are identical to the found values for Genre.

e.g. I ran GF on a collection of poorly tagged tracks, got and applied the suggested changes, and then reran GF on the same collection. On the re-run there were "No suggested changes".

Well, I did the uninstall from Control Panel, and in the mean time upgraded to Windows 7.
Now it throws a dialouge box with a nice big red X "Product Installation Error"

Any ideas?

Have you tried to run MM as administrator then run the script install file?

Thanks Vyper!

No not only does it install properly, but it actually runs for the first time too :-)

No, not just that. The current version isn't returning tags for some untagged or inadequately tagged tracks where previously it had found tags.

Hmm. Could be a settings issue. FWIW here are my settings (excluding lists).

@bloomer.
A copy of a log of the failing operation would be helpful.
Set log level = 3 Advanced
The log file is created in %TEMP%\GenreFinder.log

e.g.

@Trix:
The patch I submitted for wildcard (string1*string2) masks was not included in 4.2. Easy enough to edit it back in but would be nice if it was in the base script.
