In reply to the question of why does media monkey have to play the whole track til the end in order to scrobble, a way round this is that you can skip to the end after playing some of the track (prob 30+ seconds) and as long as you get the end in, it scrobbles! :)

Because it scrobbles when the play count in MM increases.
And how do I make MM scrobble/count songs in the middle of them?

That's really brilliant approach.

That is indeed insane. It means if you like to mix in your track to each other - even by a few seconds from the end, then they are not scrobbled. This means most of my played songs don't scrobble. MM has to be unique in this. Surely this has to be changed. I have seen quite a few posts about this....

If you're suggesting that the scrobbler doesn't work when "crossfade" is enabled, then that is incorrect. I have crossfade on the majority of the time and the tracks always scrobble. As long as the playcount increases in MM (in its database, the "Playcount" field) then the track will also scrobble. It makes perfect sense to me.

I am now having a problem scrobbling to last.fm. Looking back to my scrobbling history, I have scrobbled from my ipod using lastpod but media monkey hasn't scrobbled anything since July 1st. I haven't made any changes like changing the date format and I still get the now playing on last.fm.

I am running the latest build of media monkey (3.2.1) and the most recent last.fm add-in. Anyone?

For what it's worth, my scrobbling works fine from my Windows 7 x64 install.

Install the latest version of the LastFM scrobbler software (version 1.5.4.24567), then replace the .dll in your MediaMonkey "Plugins" directory with this one:

For me it was the Library check. Not certain if something got messed up with my library, since all my songs are in my library.

Regardless, unchecking the "Only submit tracks that are part of the library" got mine working again.

Mine won't work either. I've unticked all the options in submission rules. Only tracks now playing but doesn't show anything recently played

I found that I have to run MediaMonkey as an administrator on Windows 7 to get your scrobbler to work. Can you resolve this?

You need to run MM as admin when installing addons.
