This is what happens when I start to play a game, first song that I play is in the log, then all the others don't show up just this 2012-01-22 17:54:12.884: Last.FM: Player got Command wParam (Volume).

Then when I close the game, it still won't scrobble unless I restart MediaMonkey then it works fine.

It stops scrobbling after computer emerges from hibernation. Re-starting MediaMonkey cures the problem.
Happens consistently in MediaMonkey 4.0.1 (Scrobbler 1.0.2.29).

Serious errors after installation the addon:
the Player would not initialize:

Also, when calling "Options":

Access violation at address 00768DE9 in Module "Mediamonkey.exe".
Read of address 0000000C.

Uninstalled and re-installed under different conditions, from MM or by starting the plugin, as admin, etc., always the same.
Option "only for current user" is greyed out.

If I unsinstall the scrobbler, everything returns to normal.

Any help?? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have updated to the latest version. Tried installing Last.fm add-on and am still getting the Player Initialization error on start. My install is a portable install... Doe this affect something?

For me it works on a Portable Install. I suggest you send a debug log (step 4b) to support for this: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69

Hi,

I'm having the same problem as others- scrobbling works fine some of the time, then suddenly stops- the songs appear as Now Playing on Lastfm but once the song ends it doesn't go into my recently played list or increase my number of plays. This randomly happens so doesn't seem to be anything to do with my settings. I have the latest version of MM and the addon, and all my submission rules are unticked.

Also, some songs that are submitted OK and do appear in my recently played list have the wrong date- again this is random e.g. the first three songs in my recently played list right now say 13th Feb 12.38am (when it's 25th Feb 8.45am) then a couple before that have the correct date, then before that it's 13th Feb again...I haven't changed any settings but this only happens for some songs.

On the following log, the first song has the correct time on Lastfm and the second song does not although they look the same in the log.

I believe there must be some kind of API change for Last.fm or something like that. Now playing works still fine, however, scrobbling itself doesn't anymore because some bad or missing parameters. Clearing the cache doesn't help. Here is a part of my log:

Been having problems with the scrobbling as well.

Most of the time, it shows the wrong date on last.fm (the date on which the song was scrobbled the last time instead of the current one) or it doesn't scrobble at all.
Showing "Now playing" still works fine though. =/

This seemed to have happened after I upgraded from XP and MM3 to Win7 and MM4.

I have the same problem.
Installing MM portable without any problems, but on first run (and all subsequent runs) after Last.fm scrobbler installation, I get the "error during player initialization".

The weird thing is that it worked before I formatted my computer recently (why oh why did I have to check out the Win8 consumer preview >.< - where MM+scrobbling didn't work either, btw.)

Hello,
I am suddenly unable to scrobble to Last.FM. I'm using MM 3.2.2.1300 and it was scrobbling just fine until a couple of weeks ago.

There are reasons I have for not upgrading to MM4, so I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Ok, I have a problem with this plugin. Basically, if I check "Only submit tracks that are part of the library", things work fine until randomly they stop working. The log complaints that the file isn't in the library, even though it was loaded directly from the library. Also, reloading the file from the library makes it work correctly.
I know I can just uncheck this, but I like this option, because I don't want to submit files that aren't part of the library. I listen to lots of stuff before adding to the library, and many times there are some that don't make it. I don't want them to be submitted, nor do I want to have to go to last.fm and remove them from the list. It would be so much simpler to have this simple option working. Is there any solution to this?

Since 24th december 2011 my lastfm mediamonkey plug in will show that i'm listening to the current song playing in media monkey but as soon as its finished, i hit refresh on my lastfm page and the song I was listening to drops off.

I have checked my time stamp and its set for the right country and still nothing.
Have updated to current version of mediamonkey
cannot find a working Last Fm plug in update.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking of switching back to iTunes :S
