First, most of the time when I run lyricator the following screen pops up:

and nothing else happens :-?

Second, when lyricator actually does search and find lyrics (after trying to run it multiple times) I see this:

which makes it hard to preview the lyrics since, in this example, I can only see the first 3 words of the song (if "ahh" counts as a word that is  )

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is 100% user error but either way I would appreciate any help that anyone could give me as DarkLyrics seemed to go all crazy on me and virtually erased most of my lyrics
I am seeing the first issue you are talking about. It must have started after I upgraded to the latest version of MediaMonkey, but I will have to investigate.

Your second issue is because you have to right click on the result to see the entire result. This also gives you an opportunity to fix any lyrics you don't agree with and save your changes or cancel and go back to the list.

Since upgrading my machine to Win10 I cannot get Lyricator to work (it just scans thru all the selected options of sites without getting lyrics), this is even on files that it found lyrics for previously.

I have removed & re-installed both Lyricator & Mediamonkey 4.1.8.1751 (fully i.e. no directories in appdata).

So is this a Mediamonkey, Lyricator or Win10 problem?

Before you suggest rebooting my machine I already did.

Any other suggestions you think might be worth a try.

Have you tried Auto-Tag from Web? It may be a browser issue now that IE no longer is the default browser (but MediaMonkey is hardcoded to use it).

I don't currently have access to a WIndows 10 environment to check this out yet, but hopefully will in a few weeks. I believe Lowlander is correct about IE being used by scripts like Lyricator. The only other suggestion I could make would be to make sure whatever your default browser was before (if it wasn't IE) is still your default browser. Not sure this will help, but worth a try.

Just for Reference guys.

Windows 10 now uses Edge as its default Browser and Microsoft have tightened the security quite tight so it doesn't let much run with it.

IE is still installed but not as default so there maybe a way to work around this for future releases of all Addons that use the web for info.
I have often thought that "User Default" Browser should be used but that is down to the writers preference. :D

MediaMonkey uses IE independent of default browser as it is an integrated component of MediaMonkey.

hey Lowlander,
Could you possibly explain what you mean to the dumber side of me please, do you mean it directly links to IE. :-?

That there is no way for the user to change that MediaMonkey uses IE, it's use is integrated for browser, downloading components.

I just tested on someone elses PC that was recently upgraded to windows 10. They had a really old version of Lyricator that was working. I uninstalled that version and installed the latest version for just that user. The only issue I ran into was the funky window issue that I haven't been able to resolve yet. Once I went into the Lyricator settings and saved them, it all worked fine. Not sure what the difference may be.

I'm on windows 10 and using the latest version on lyricator. I can confirm it works exactly like it did under windows 8.1.

MS edge could well be the problem as I had a few teething problems.

Anyway meanwhile I have reverted back to Win 7 on this machine as I imaged my disc prior to upgrading, where everything is working again.

Though I expect to upgrade back to 10 once MS have ironed out a few problems.

(I expect it being a 6 year old laptop doesn't help)

Thanks guys.

Hey all,

I was having the same problems with Windows 10 and the Lyricator modal window looking garbled. I went to Tools/Extensions and clicked Find Updates and now Lyricator is working. I'm not sure how because I had version 1.3.2.1 installed and it didn't appear to upgrade the version. However, I'm happy to report it's working now.

Thanks for working on this lovely script, lyricator is one of the few missing components of mm.
Although I have a very minor complain about having no option to remove lyricator from the context menu, which I find rather annoying.

Windows 10
MM 4.1.9.1764
Lyricator 1.3.2.1

Lyricator simply opens & closes on any "new" songs that I want to tag - however, on any songs that I've previously used Lyricator on - it works like a champ :o
I've done uninstalls / reinstalls of both MM & Lyricator, checked file attributes, length of file names, tried as suggested earlier in this thread about opening the properties window in MM, then trying Lyricator again, but that didn't work either.
Don't think it can be a corrupt MM database, as it's a fresh Win 10 install & MM was installed after..

Any ideas? It's driving me crazy! :-?

Thanks!
