Lyricator simply opens & closes on any "new" songs that I want to tag - however, on any songs that I've previously used Lyricator on - it works like a champ :o
I've done uninstalls / reinstalls of both MM & Lyricator, checked file attributes, length of file names, tried as suggested earlier in this thread about opening the properties window in MM, then trying Lyricator again, but that didn't work either.
Don't think it can be a corrupt MM database, as it's a fresh Win 10 install & MM was installed after..

Any ideas? It's driving me crazy! :-?

Thanks!
Well after wasting close to 2 days of my life, the answer was in a thread from 2011: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 05#p284406

Although I love Lyricator - there really should be some note of this somewhere, as by all the other posts, I'm not the only idiot trying to figure this out :o

Well, I've purchased MM and like it very much compared to that other big companies Music & Audiobook player.

I got tired of downloading my lyrics individually so I researched Lyricator and it seemed to be the answer.

After the hassel of the not knowing about running MM as Administrator or it, Lyricator, would not install (would have been good to put that in the instructions somewhere - I didn't see it) I finally installed it, version 1.3.2.1. I'm running Windows 10 64 bit. I did a rescan of my MP3's to add them into MM's Library.

I went into Tools - Options - Lyricator and unchecked the bottom 2 boxes in the section 'Sources (this was www.songcoleta.com & www.genius.com) as I read this in one of the posts.

Still this add-on will NOT WORK. If I 'highlight' an album on the left of the screen then go to Tools - Scripts - Lyricator a boxes flashes for a fraction of a second and disappears. If I go to the centre screen with the songs listed in the album the same thing happens. The songs don't have any lyrics as I've checked and I've checked the box 'Ignore songs with lyrics' in Lyricator.

So if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. Oh, also I've scanned through the Forum for as solution so don't ask me if I have.

I, too, have been having this problem for quite some time (i.e. weirdly-formatted window described by 'chrisblackton'). It started last year (2015) when I was using MM under Windows 7, and I've run into it again trying to get MM running under Linux Mint using WINE (which, amazingly, is the only problem I've encountered with MM under Linux so far). The offered workaround used to help initially, but now it isn't proving effective as much any more....sometimes works in Windows, but doesn't seem to ever work with Linux.

I really like MM and hope to get the Lyricator interface working again. Any other suggestions??

Sorry folks, I have been extremely busy with two jobs lately and have been away a while. This is an extremely old plugin and definitely has install issues from windows vista on up. I think it works much better when MM is installed without admin privileges (for just the installing user) as well as installing the plugin the same way. There are lots of posts here where people, including myself have had issues where plugins were installed in mixed ways (some for all users and some local). I have just upgraded to windows 10 and the latest version of MM and had to re-install Lyricator again after the upgrade because I started seeing the issues the last two posts complained about.

As for Linux support goes, I think that may have to do with the browser that Lyricator/MM use by default and I don't know what browser you may have as a default. Some have had issues on windows 10 fresh installs where Edge has replaced IE, and it sounds like a similar problem. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you on Linux.

I do plan to one day get the plugin install worked out when I get the time and am open to any volunteers that want to help.

I have also had this happen occasionally and found that if I close the Lyricator window, right click the songs chosen, and then click "Lyricator/All Configured Sights", it'll work again.

I have almost 50+Gb of metal music in my MM, as you all can imagine the pain in the ass to tag & edit 'Each' of them MANUALLY,

Is it possible to add these two in lyricator:
Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives http://www.metal-archives.com/ and
Dark Lyrics - metal lyrics archive http://www.darklyrics.com/

Same for me.
Win 10 x64
MM 4.1.14

EDIT (fix):I realize that Lyricator only works in the playlist section.
It doesn't work if I try to fetch subs while in the media manager.
Since I organize my library per Artist/Album, if I just double click any music in the "Show All" from the respective Artist, all music from this artist goes to the playlist, and then I can open Lyricator

There is already a darklyrics plugin available that has been specifically developed for that purpose. It should work side-by-side with lyricator. See: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =2&t=73643

You do not have to run MM as administrator to install lyricator, but if you don't run as administrator then you have to choose the single user install option. You have to select tracks in the track listing order for lyricator to work otherwise it doesn't have a list to work with.

I can say it's probably my fault, maybe I overlooked the documentation, but since kmoulds ran into the same problem, I thought it was worth sharing the "bug".
Not sure if this was always the correct way, but I found out that Lyricator only worked for me after I renamed the filename to Track#. Artist - Title.
Seems that it only searches if the Artist - Title is in the filename. Not sure if it's supposedly to work only like that (thought it used the tags), but I now got it working flawlessly whether the tracks are on the playlist or the media manager.

genius.com does not work anymore.
I noticed that because I had to look for the lyrics of some albums, did not find any lyrics with Lyricator, but found them all manually at genius.com.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to get that into the next fix whenever I get the chance.

Thank you for the fix for Genius.
There is another problem now:
Metrolyrics gives no results for me, even if the manual serach gives results.

Could it be that the trick how Metrolyrics tries to prevent C&P with manual search also makes problems to Lyricator?
Using C&P you have to delete code and the end of the text. Otherwise the lyrics are not saved.

I already have a fix for in the works for lyricsMode, elyrics, letras and metrolyrics. I hope to get it out by the end of the weekend.
