Force re-read Now Playing from mediamonkey.m3u8

Post by DubDubDub »

I think this is kind of on this topic.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a script which refreshes the contents of now playing window (i.e. re-reading the mediamonkey.m3u8)

I am new to mediamonkey but am trying to setup a separate user interface to allow people to add tracks to the current queue.

I can query the DB successfully to retrieve the library and successfully add the file to the mediamonkey.m3u8 file, but it does not show up in the now playing list until I re-start mediamonkey.

Is there anyway of forcing a refresh in the now playing list?

Thanks

I've not seen anything like it. The only interactions with mediamonkey.m3u8 are during start of MediaMonkey (to load Now Playing) and on close of MediaMonkey (to save Now Playing). Otherwise the file isn't used. The reason it isn't done in the database is likely due to that the Now Playing can contain non-Library files.
