Love the report. It's awsome.

I do have one request, would it be possible to select from the options box the ability to have the site structured by Album Name instead of Artist Name?

Just found out about MediaMonkey, and your add on script, Advanced Report looks very interesting.
I have downloaded and run the .exe, which put the .vbs in the scripts directory. The scripts.ini has been amended, MM restarted.
My question, with no doubt a very obvious answer, how do you run the script and from where?
The script does not appear under tools - scripts.
I have also used your Genre Finder script, which works a treat thank you.

Cheers

trix, I love this script (well, I love pretty much all your scripts). One thing that would make this one even cooler would be the ability to publish the report directly to a remote web server. Just sayin'. ;)

edit: You also may want to make the following change:

Code: Select all

fout.WriteLine "<h1><a name='top' href='http://www.mediamonkey.com' target='_blank'>"&PageTitle&"</a></h1>"
fout.WriteLine "<p>Created: "&Date&" "&Time&" using '"&AppName&"' by <a href='http://trixmoto.net' target='_blank'>Trixmoto</a><br>"
...at the very least, it should be conditional in FramedView, since as written, it opens up in the "caps" frame, which is pretty small.

Dont know if this is asked before. But is it possible to list the album in a list format and not next to eachother? if a album name is pretty long it looks messed up.

A list with

<album> <cover>
<album> <cover>

would look much nicer imho.

But besides that very great script :) it does exactly what i need and it saves me a lot of time :D

PS: http://www.robvanegdom.nl/music/Artist%201914.htm

Here is an example link :) it has 9 albums on it :) and it chaotic :) in list form it would look nicer :D

There's no option to do this, but you could amend the script yourself to do this if you wanted to. I'll take a look at what I can add to make this possible in the next version. Looks fine to me though! :)

well i know it's the table that makes it like this so that should be a problem to adjust tho :)

besides that it looks pretty fine indeed :) thanks again!

First of all let me say, this is the most amazing report script I have seen in a long time. I am new to MM and will NEVER go back to bundled software. My question:

Is there any way to force Advanced Reports to generate its list ONLY from the Artist field and ignore the AlbumArtist field? I have almost 800Gb of music and don't want to have to go back and rename all of the AlbumArtist fields that differ from the actual album name.

If not, is there a script that will copy the Artist field to the AlbumArtist field automatically?

Thanks in advance!

New version (4.4) is now available to download from my website. Changes include...

- Fixed output source making it XHTML compatible (thanks to Buxfix)
- Added option to specify filetype of output files
- Fixed ratings sometimes wrapped inappropriately
- Added option to exclude folders from report (thanks to Bex)

Definitely big thanks to Buxfix who managed to decipher my code enough to tidy up my HTML! :)
